The Presidium coffee used in single origin has been grown and processed by Cooperative Esquipulas RL Huehuetenango.
The territory of Huehuetenango, in the north-west of Guatemala, on the border with Mexico, has an altitude ranging from 850 to 3700 meters and offers an extraordinary variety of ecosystems (from subtropical forest to pine forests). Located at the foot of the Cuchumatanes, the highest non-volcanic mountains of Central America, Huehuetenango is one of the best areas of the country for the cultivation of coffee.
There are different crus in the Huehuetenango, each due to the morphology and microclimate of the valleys in which are located the communities involved in the project. The characteristics shared by the coffee in this area are a full body and good acidity. The cup is balanced and aromatic, with floral notes, citrus and chocolate.
